How will this game be different? What will it add that they lacked?
It is an awesome question. And thank you for posting it. But if you are asking it, it means that I failed the trailer (or at least I have to create a new one).
Back to the question, I played game dev tycoon for a while, so I get your concerns.
Also, it exists unique game genre, such as Rogue-like. For example, when the game "Rogue" has been published, in 1980s, it created a new game genre, the Rogue-like. So if you discover the Rogue-like genre before the 80s, you will have a bonus.
There are many combinations between game genre and game theme (more than 60 genres, and more than 30 themes). Plus some game themes are event driven.
I can't tell more without spoiling everything.
With regard to the trailer, it is only fair to confess I did not watch it. To be honest, trailers are not something I generally view when looking at a game as too many times games have shown trailers that set unrealistic expectations for what they actually deliver. That isn't to say it is the case with your trailer, it's just the way I browse for games.
I will absolutely pay close attention to the development of this game as I am interested in tycoon games in general, with an emphasis on computer/software tycoon type games.
So basically, the exact same as Game Dev tycoon ?! Could you elaborate on this because I dont think I understand.
If you have a look on how the gaming industry has evolved, there was no FPS back in the 70s, or 80s. And a GTA-Like game has been created only in the 90s (those are just examples)
So, a game genre is a new type of gameplay. I think, having to discover a new game genre is more accurate than having to research for a game theme (such as zombie).
I don't think genres or themes could be features, especially after workshop running
Hope developer played "Software Inc.", it's excellent from game designing to marketing process
I myself have played all the games in this series and so far I have enjoyed each one.
It's the only game where I haven't fully understood the logic yet!
Why is a game worse when it has more of something? Poor ratings with too little I understand yes, but too much?
And the nonsense with the stars that a studio has to Qualified employees is the peak of it all!
I hope the developer takes the time and plays the other games from this genre and gets inspired by it.
And a little note, in addition, this permanent "thing thing thing thing" of useless emails, increases the aggresion while playing! Why can't such information be displayed simply and easily?

About the notification, indeed Im going to improve them. Something more like we have in Cities skylines would be better.
For employees and game balancing. Having too much development, or polish or design means that you lack designs/polish or development/polish or design/development. I should have said, "they put everything on development, but they should work on Design instead" (wording is important I apologize).
@x37960241 Early stage is simple. For the first 15~20 minutes you will play a simple game. Eventually you will be able to port a game, create sequels, market your games, attend conventions, publish a game offer, create online game, build you building...
At what point the game end? does it have an ending like GDT where everything become repeatable or its endless?
Thanks!
And, since the whole world is procedurally generated, you can play the game over and over.
