Hey I just bought the key for 150 gems and still cant enter, wtf? Bugged?

You only need the key. I can tell from the screenshot you do not yet have 1350 trees for one.
you need to get everything in the lock tab (such as the trees, zombies, ect) done.
you got the required amount of science at least,

It says 119/129 under your scream counter. That means you need 10 more things before the house is considered complete, and I'm guessing that you need to buy more trees, lanterns, tombstones, etc. If you click the padlock that's 5 tabs from the bottom it will tell you how many of each thing you need to have.

I grinded a bit more and did get in. The requirements should be explicitly listed somewhere. Anyway, the inside is the same game starting form scratch with different graphics/currency, I'm done with the grind-fest :)

Actually, it says that you need the key AND everything outside the house to enter, in the game.. so its already there.

Necroing, but you don't actually need to upgrade everything to access other rooms as long as you have the key. Just use the Scenes menu. It worked for me both for the entry hall and the dungeon.
