I'm sure if enough work was put into it, a vita could run it. Of course, it may need to have limitations
It isn't a matter of optimization. You can't shrink the game and make it run on a vita. The whole infrastructure of the game is based on complex orbital n-body physics calculations. Those calculations require a significant number of cycles and vast amounts of L-cache and Random Access memory. The little ARM Cortex-A9 isn't remotely capable of this kind of workload. Universe Sandbox, as whole, would need to be reworked from the ground up. Any sort of realistic simulation wouldn't be possible leaving you with a very simplifed, on rails, visual representation of orbital mechanics. It wouldn't be Universe Sandbox anymore. It would be like going from Dirt 3 on your 1080p monitor to snake on your 10 year old flip phone.
