What do you mean? I read your first post, but it just reads as you not liking the way the map works in this game. I don't really like it either, but in terms of it being problematic, the problems I run into are when I want to switch between underground and above ground. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, and I'm not talking about when I am in a hidden area either. The map will correctly show for me when I am in any given area, but trying to toggle between above and below just seems so random.
Biggest issue though for me is that the map is so large and there are so many sub areas, or secret areas and it's pretty hard to keep track of what is where without actually writing it all down. Being able to actually put a marker on the map would help a lot.
I believe that adding names for certain "doors" on the map would be a giant leap in terms of readability (For example Mine site entrance).
Visible links for certain entrances would be great as well (Wasted town is good example of confusing layout)
Those are fairly easily achievable...
Some nested entrances simply don't have maps, which sometimes gets confusing because they are not necessarily always small areas and person can get overwhelmed at the beginning. This I believe is a big thing to address though.
Another issue which should be easily fixable, since it's a texture replacement, is save points not appearing properly in parts of the map that also existed at the beginning (for example, maye outskirts, the map shows the save point in the location where it previously was, not where it currently is).
Fix for that coming soon!
It is a resolution problem on deck, if you set the resolution to Steam Deck native 1280 x 720 everything works like charm. Maybe this helps someone.
Currently playing on deck and the map is horrible bugged there. It shows the player marker in atotally different position horizontally and vertically and even worse the map reveal is also done by this position so that for example in inside maps notjing is revealed at all. Needs definitely a fix (although I know the game is not supported on deck)
