Graphic issue. Need help

Hi,
I buy a new laptop with a GTX 770M and now I have a graphic issue. See on the screenshot :

I have tried to change video settings, but no change.

EDIT: To those who can't use patch because it says "UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE VERSION OF TMUNITEDFOREVER CURRENTLY INSTALLED" even though it worked on TM Nations Forever, you need to uninstall Nations Forever completely, then reinstall it. Run the patcher again and when it asks where to browse from/to change it from Nations Forever to United and it will patch the United version.

ORIGINAL: "I have the same issue as HardcoreDucK (he posted on the first page). When I just had Nations Forever I had a different glitch so I changed my Distro to MILIN and installed the patch, everything worked great.
When I got United Forever as well I had the same Graphic issue as the discussion starter so I tried installing the patch again, but it said "You do not need to install this" or something along those lines.
So I uninstalled Nations Forever, tried again and this time it says "unable to determine the version of tmunitedforever currently installed". I have no idea how I get the patch to recognize the version.
My Nadeo.ini file is already set to Distro=MILIN and I can't remember what it was before even though I doubt that's a problem."

I followed all these steps, it says it updated, but then it goes back to the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥ graphics, I don't know what I'm doing wrong

One last thing you should try is to change antialiasing to none in the settings. That worked for me.

I have this problem too. I'm using a hybrid graphics unit as well (GeForce GT 730M + Intel HD 4600; running Windows 8.1). The launcher seems to only detect my Intel HD unit, but forcing it to use the GeForce still results in it thinking I have only 40MB available. The textures are ugly no matter what processor I tell the game to use.

None of the fixes posted here work. AGP usage slider is up to 100%, but no change is happening. I think the problem is the game somehow thinks I have such very little graphics memory.

I once had a computer with an Intel HD 4000 GPU and it looked absolutely beautiful on it. I'm not sure why the game has this problem with my new one...

EDIT: As luck would have it, I found an old backup of game configs I had from my old computer. I copied those over to User\Documents\TrackMania and now everything seems to look fine. It might have to do with some or all the following files in the Documents\Trackmania\Config:
- Bench.SystemConfig.gbx
- Default.SystemConfig.gbx
- GfxDevicePerfs.txt

Unfortunately, none of those files have information stored in plain language, so opening them in Notepad won't be helpful.

Thanks to this I no longer have ugly textures. However I am using my old computer's configuration. My new one is considerably more powerful and I would like to change the settings to reflect that, so I don't really consider this a great solution.

I've tried everything exept this, nothing has worked so far. I know those files aren't in plain language but do you think you could copy paste the gibberish they contain into a reply so that I can copy paste it into my files?

Edit the "Nadeo.ini" file and change the following line:

Distro=TAHOR

to

Distro=MILIN

Be sure to save the .ini file so the changes are saved.

Then download the "ttp:/files2.trackmaniaforever.com/TmUnitedForever_Update_2010-03-15_Setup.exe file and install it.

When the patch install asks, point to the "steam\SteamApps\common\TrackMania United" directory and continue install.

I originally edited the wrong .ini file and when I tried to install the patch, it complained I had the wrong TM version. When I edited the correct file, the patch worked fine. Hope this helps others.

You deserve a great game ............. for helping people who dont know how to follow bad instructions & give up because of it.

Good instructions are a bit of a godsend.

I had the same problem. For me, I was editing the wrong .ini file. Make sure it's the "Nadeo.ini" file and not the "STEAM_Nadeo.ini" file.

Wow...That actually worked. I was bracing myself for potential failure (I can be an idiot with directions, and older games are unpredictable).Now I can play the game without the textures nagging me.

I've followed all these steps, but when I try to install the patch all I get is the message "distros not compatible". I've tried reinstalling the game multiple times, changing the distro to MILIN and I always get the same dumb error. Plz help
