Timer text is blurry
Hi.

When I edited my graphics settings to show higher graphics and use my NVIDIA RTX 3080 graphics card instead of the Intel UHD graphics card, the numbers on the timer and MPH counter are blurry in-game. Is there any fix for this?

Thanks in advance.

It's actually not just the timer text that's blurry; certain in-game textures (especially in the Desert environment) are blurry as well.

Judging from what you've put here, this is most likely a driver related thing. I'd recommend using Display Driver Uninstaller with Windows in Safe Mode to get rid of what graphics drivers are installed on your system, and then reinstall ONLY the Nvidia ones while still in Safe Mode.

idk. The Intel UHD Graphics drivers were included with my laptop along with the NVIDIA ones and I'm afraid that by trying to uninstall them I may mess up my system.

Come to think of it, I may have done something similar a while ago and I don't recall the end result turning out good.

Hey Darth Wallace,

We have a guide on how to set your laptop to use it's dedicated graphics available here[www.ubisoft.com], I'd recommend giving this a try.

Let us know if this does the trick!

I appreciate the help, but I already am able to switch to my dedicated graphics card through Windows 11 graphics settings.

I think the problem may be is that its a bug with setting certain graphics settings too high, or turning on miscellaneous graphics settings like post process FX, dynamic lighting, and etc., through the config launcher. When the launcher performed a bench test and chose the graphics settings for me at first, the text was fine.

Alright so I can confirm it has something to do with messing with the graphics settings. I have reset everything to default and set the graphics to the "high" preset, and the text and other textures are no longer blurry. I'm on Windows 11.

Thanks for the update and getting back to us Darth Wallace!

Glad to see you've been able to get this resolved!

Did you have it on the High Preset originally?

Hi.

The graphics settings were originally tailored to my graphics card (so it says). Most of the graphics settings were equivalent to the high preset though, except for the shader quality IIRC.

If you want me to, I can check and see what graphics setting exactly causes the blurry text/texture problem later.

Okay so the blurry text and textures are a result of setting/increasing various graphics settings, including shadow quality, anti-aliasing, lightmap quality, and post process FXs.

Heya Wallace, thanks very much for coming back to us with this information! We'll keep this in mind as a workaround in case any other players face similar blurriness issues in the future, and I really appreciate your help.

I hope you have a good time with United Forever, and that you go really fast :)
