What are "slots for friends"?

Hallo.
I have found an official website of the game with my players' info and I saw a directory with slots for friends. There is writen that I can by a new slot and invite there a friend, and something about sharing of my UF key.
Can someone explain me what is it and how it should work? And as simple as it possible, because I fear that I don't understand it well.

So at the moment, the webpage you linked me allows you to add more buddies/friends to play against in-game (it does not share the game with them, they must download it)

The webpage says you have 64 friends and you can add more, by paying 100 coppers (in-game currency) and entering the last 3 digits of your CD key.

Or, do you simply just want to invite a friend and play the game with them and race against their times? If you would just like to invite friends, you can just use the 'Invite!' button in the first game menu, to invite a friend to play with, you will need to use the Trackmania name that they use in their Profile, to add them.

Please let me know if anything is unclear and I will do my best to explain further.

When my friends instal the game by my link and create an account will they have have united account, as I have, or they will have nations account?

In this scenario, they should have a United Account.
