Error cannot connect to server - 12029
Yo guys
yesterday I bought an unlimited version, when I want to "register a payment key", it writes me "Unable to connect to server (12029)", I can play online, but without the "paid" version. I tried disabling TLS 1.0 / 1.1 and it doesn't work, reinstallation doesn't work, nothing works
Can you help me pls ?

So you can get online on Nations Forever, but not United Forever, is that right?

Also, what's "an unlimited version"? Did you buy it from Steam or a different key seller?

I can play online on both versions, but on United version when i want to insert key to upgrade to united type account, it causes me this error 12029.
I bought it on steam.

I can't remember what I did to upgrade my account... did you check your email for a different key, or does it say to use the CD key?

If it is the CD key, maybe try Nations? It seems backwards, but if the option is there, it might work

When I click on register paid key, I enter my key, which I got from the steam, I click on convert and then the error reappears. It does the same thing in both applications Nations/United. And still I can play online with my friends, but dont have "skins" and other things in United version.

Have you tried turning your firewall off? If you haven't, do this only if you feel comfortable and safe doing it. It can be a huge security risk.

I wish I could give you specifics, but it seems to be a general network error that spans multiple games, so there's no one answer to it

yeah i tried firewall too.
but I already have it activated! I gave the login details to a friend and he did it. He didn't change anything, he didn't set anything. So the problem was probably somewhere in the IP address. Because I now have an active account and can play online. I tried everything TLS, forward ports, hosts file, DNS, etc..

Hey Alfy, thanks for getting in touch with us could you please check the following three steps for us to rule out a few possible causes of this issue >

1. When you mentioned disabling the TLS settings in your first message, we actually would advise you to enable them temporarily instead as this can usually help with other error codes seen when trying to register the game or connect online. Please double-checking you have 1.0 and 1.1 enabled in your Internet Options in Windows,

2. Can you also try reinstalling maniaplanet from this link instead, then try launching the game from the maniaplanet .exe file, then the games own .exe file, instead of using Steam at all? > https://www.maniaplanet.com/

3. After trying these two steps, is there any possibility that you might be logging in with the incorrect maniaplanet account details?

Have you tried using BulkCrap Uninstaller to uninstall TMUF? It will remove of all traces of it from your computer

Hi, I tried to block it, but it didn't work. So I enabled it again. Then, as I wrote above, I gave my friend my trackman data and it worked for him right away. I have no problem playing online. It worked for every server I connected to, so the only problem was that I couldn't verify the "payment key".

Okey, i can try it from maniaplanet.
No i have correct acc details. I'm logged in, I just couldn't verify my upgrade key for the United version. Now is it okey, thanks to my friend.
