Status of Multiplayer?

I am considering purchasing this game for online multiplayer, but I'm not sure if the servers are dead or not. Are there any packed servers, and if so, do all the environments have active players on servers or does the player base only mainly occupy the stadium environment?

It seems to be mostly stadium and yes servers are still well populated

Interesting. I'd have thought most everyone would have moved on to TM2 and/or TM2020.

Disappointing that it's almost all Stadium, though.

United servers usually have 5-10 players at Europe evening time.

Competitive multiplayer is alive, but it might be easy to miss since password locked servers don't show up at server list front page.

The problem is that it's just stadium. And god knows how much i hate stadium

Why? They share same servers + Nations is restricted and forces you to spectate a map once per 5 matches

Yeah; but it seems like everyone's playing strictly Stadium. You only need Nations if you're going to play Stadium.

If you're only going to play MP, you'd be better off just getting Nations. If you're actually interested in other environments, you're going to be stuck with just single-player.
