As for good servers, since you have United, maybe try to play non-FreeZone servers.
I own all of the TrackMania games on Steam, except Turbo. If multiplayer is your primary focus, I’ve counted the players in each one to give you a pretty good idea of how active each playerbase is.
TrackMania2 Stadium: over 900 players at the time of writing this, including one server that has over 200 people racing in it
TrackMania2 Canyon: roughly 50 people playing right now, most populated server currently has 28 people playing
TrackMania2 Valley: currently there are 12 people playing, with the most populated server hosting 10 of those
TrackMania2 Lagoon: There are currently 0 people playing, which is a shame because Lagoon is pretty awesome.
