This one listed in these patch notes? If not this one would like to know more if you can link to a bug report thread.
Fixed an issue where a few players got their Big Trouble in Little Vegas quest into an un-progressable state, having arrested Brygo but not choosing which prison he should be sent to. Any games in this state should now be progressable.
Co-op, my girlfriend and I called for the Rangers to arrest Brygo but when we went back to Daisy she's stuck in a chat loop, there is no possibility for advancement.
Another person who had the same issue as I'm having:
https://steamcommunity.com/app/719040/discussions/2/2849047119430986841/
- Accepted quest from Daisy
- Called Rangers to arrest Brygo AFTER going to the Machine Shop
- AFTER arresting Brygo (rangers never showed up) I went to the back and talked with the guy in the prison cell
- AFTER leaving, Daisy has conversation loop - cannot turn in quest
- Returning to the club finds it empty, and Brygo is not at the Ranger prison
Truth be told I would happily alter a save file, or have it altered for me by the devs, to fix this issue so we can progress. I really dont care. My issue is with the number of bugs about this quest, specifically, and the frustration that it hasn't been fully evaluated.
If you fix this issue I will gladly continue playing and change my review as well.
Thanks for the repro steps. I recall something similar being fixed quite a while ago (will go try to find it), when did you encounter the issue/how old is the save?
In some cases with saves that get in a "bad state" even when we resolve the cause, the save may not be retroactively fixed, which essentially means loading an older save to bypass it. Luckily that's pretty early in the game so it might only take a couple hours even if you had to replay from the very start (hopefully not). But let me try to find more info.
Love you guys. Played 300h on Game Pass and bought the game on Steam and played other 270h!
I love the game!
You gotta add some WINTERISH features because it's WINTER!!!
I love feeling SAFE in the KODIAK ! Please do something to improve that HOME-ish feeling in the CAR providing SAFETY!!! More upgrades? IDK you are the devs!
Thank you again I love your studio <3 <3
Thank you! Early in development we actually had a heat/cold mechanic, similar to fuel in Wasteland 2. But through ongoing development it really just slowed down gameplay, forcing you to stop and deal with your heat rather than being able to focus on the quests, objectives, gear, skills, etc. It quickly became a burden. It's a cool idea, one we tried out, but ultimately dropped because it just wasn't very "fun" in the end.
Anyway thank you for the kind words, and glad you've enjoyed being in the world we crafted. :)
@Isalon Ok, it rings a bell because it was being tested again recently as we've been unable to reproduce the issue. What would be immensely helpful is getting your save files. Instructions are here for where to find those: https://inxile.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360057521331-Gathering-PC-Save-Files-and-Player-Logs
Please send us ALL of your save files (as even unaffected ones may give us a clue) through email to community@inxile.net with the subject "Brygo Quest Loop Bug" and we'll be sure to get them to the right people.
We started up fresh a few weeks ago. Just kept rolling through other quests when I encountered the progression block, but now we're like, 20-30 hours in? I think? At least 15-20 and fear went to despair went to depression.
If you want to send me a message directly on Steam, I wouldn't mind that. If there is a fix, great. If we have to start over, we're not really interested in that, but maybe sometime in the future. (We put a lot of time in at Colorado Springs, plus did some sidequests and went down to the Monster Army and cleared that area up/out.) We're talking a lot more than a few hours, unfortunately.
I will do that right now, thank you!
