At least the other two evil companions make me laugh at times.
Sorry but I have to write a little. So Ripper SMG with plasma / cryo elemental or pdw-01 with any elemental makes her good at weird science. Combat shooting for increased crit chance, but that's my preference as I don't use consumables items. Her background bonus is also good. You equip head with elemental resistance or chemtek chest armor with modification to elemental resistance. Thanks to the elemental resist, she is able to survive at least 2 critical hits as long as it is not from a ballistic. Alternatively crit resist mod for her if crits irritate you a bit.
I honestly kind of liked how off-put and weirded out everyone was by Cordite and his beliefs. So it was fun to have him along just for that, as well as his Fisty Combos.
I kind of got Pizepi too late in the game for me to see much of her this time around but she seemed more or less like she was in Wasteland 2.
Lucia was a lot of fun, and I kind of wish there was a way to groom her for a Officer position in the Rangers.
Otherwise . . .I was kind of just ambivalent on most of our recruits this time around.
Of course I was extactic to see my second favorite companion in Wasteland 2 return as part of *Spoilers* Rebels, that glorious priest man, and so dissapointed that we could not get him for ourselves.
My current playthrough,i retrained lucia to big guns, and kept swapping cordite and fishlips/.
Lucia and fish lips have the best backgrounds so they make for really good retrain teammates.
if you don't know what retrain is, you're probably not playing this game on SJ, you can't really beat SJ comfortably without retraining all your teammates except the ones you created from scratch.
You also ditch your initial tam unless you created them custom but if you didn't and took a pre-made team, you ditch them around level 4 where ou've completed all of the ranger HQ quests for 2 fresh custom teammates.
