It's honestly a really stupid oversight. The dialog with Cordite present implies something that feels like a high enough Nerd ♥♥♥♥ could give you the same revelation for.

I read a tip that you can somehow get knowles to kill him for you as well during the fight for the bazaar, but I don't know if it's true or how to do it exactly.
