[Steeltown bug]Won't load or do some things

Ok, I've reached almost the end of Steeltown DLC and have found no issues on the way, and very very few in the main game itself. But near the end, I've hit a game-breaking one. After I start and finish the final battle to free the synths, having sided with Crow downstairs I find myself being unable to use skill points and such, as they keep showing the message "cancel or accept" when I click on anything outside. I can eventually get them to work after several tries, but have to do this with each one. This wouldn't be terrible if it wasn't because once I want to leave the area, it seems to enter an eternal loop loading screen. Game isn't frozen nor the computer is hung, it just keeps on loading eternally. I've loaded a couple times to redo the fight and so on, but it doens't seem to change anything. Any ideas?

Apparently, it solved itself on the fourth restart. Don't know why it was different that time, though, maybe because I loaded from a quicksave instead of the previous save or something like it.
