i have the same problem.Did u solve it?
This should be fixed with extreme priority - critical game breaking bug.
I would have to advise against buying this game until this encounter bug is fixed - game literally unplayable because of this.
"Fixed an issue that caused the Chain Ambush perk to cause combat to lock up under certain circumstances."
Could this be what is causing this? If that is the case, the bug isn't fixed at all.
If you do not know how to do this: start Wasteland 3 and afterwards open the task manager. Go to the details tab. Find wl3.exe --> right click --> set affinity and uncheck every core except the first four. Then load your save and try again.
In my case that did not help either. But - for whatever reason - if I use the LAST four cores the encounter with the scorpitron actually loads successfully and the combat begins. My cpu is an i7-14700k.
Maybe this helps if you make the same annoying experience.
Confirm this works for my i9-14900k.
Only last 4 cores were selected. Encounter combat worked.
Though my fps was terrible. I suspect the last few are efficient cores haha.
