Bizarre Area Bomb Robots Help

Hi guys. I am still early in the game I think, and just reached the Bizarre area. Am on the quest where I need to get Entrance Pass. Anyway, I am having trouble with the Bomb Robots that are in the area. If they start battle first and get chance to attack first, one exploded and wiped out my entire team. Is there any good advice for dealing with them? I know I can pay for the pass, or get one with Red Dye, but I prefer the free method. Any help appreciated :)

1. Spread out your team. Don't clump them together.
2. Initiate battle first with your most hard hitting Ranger. At this point probably your sniper has the highest dmg.
3. Estimate your dmg output. If one bomb is getting close but is close to dead, let your close-range Ranger take it out and let your sniper shoot the one still is far away.
4. Use ambush.

You can put rangers with shorter range weapons on overwatch and they shoot the bomb hoppers as soon as they get withing range of their guns.

Someone with a sniper rifle should go into crouch mode (for +10% accuracy) and shoot them from out of range, which gives your team full initiative. You can see their sight radius so just hang out of it. Don't rush blindly into ramps, sorta wait to see their patrols.
