I came across one bug that blocked progress of a side mission, however a 20 sec google search followed by less than a min of fiddling I got past it easily.
If playing I'd recommend just switching off autosaves and keeping a regular manual save log, that way you can easily backtrack and do things slightly differently if need to circumvent any bugs.
Honestly though so far I doubt anything's game breaking, all critic reviews said it was a tad buggy but said bugs never actually prevented progress.
Your mileage may vary, but for me, it's

Edit: discovered additional threads, but no fix. Such a shame.
Interesting to note, but no guarantee it will happen. I've had about 5 random encounters so far , but I have a character with high survival skill; each time I've used the survival skill check to instantly end the encounter and thus have had no issue. Depends how you play the game. Ngl does sound like an annoying bug though.
Some smaller ones, one annoying, but nothing that stops the game from being completed. And also once (yes, 1 time) the aforementioned random encounter bug, that is however in no way game breaking (or IMHO a reason to make a fuss about it). I was a bit sad that I didn't get the basically free XP/loot but just load a save from before and continue, no big deal.
One question though:
What is your "logic" behind turning off autosaves? (hint: there is none)
All it does it creating an additional save file (to no ones surprise aptly called "Autosave") whenever you enter a new area (the save is before you enter that area). Actually pretty good as sometimes something might happen right by entering said area and you want to do it differently. (and then overwrites it the next time you transition an area, keeping the count at 1)
Similar for the timed autosaves, they just create yet another separate save file called "5 minute save" or whatever interval you chose. You can (and should!) still save at all times as much as you want. Turning it off seems very nonsensical to me. But if you know a reason please tell me.
TBH, I wouldn't have mentioned it at all if I hadn't discovered multiple threads demonstrating the issue had previously been raised several times by others over a spread out time frame.
My first play through, 6 hours in and this bug has occurred every single time, from the first random encounter, I cannot progress beyond, and after 10 plus retries, searching forums and trouble shooting, finding others with the same issue and no solutions.
Speaking to OP's question;
That feels kinda broken to me.
In a game if you EVER have to go back to a previous save because something in the game bugged/broke then that is by definition a game breaking bug. This should not happen. End of.
Random encounter bug? I cant enter combat, cant leave area... every single time
Kwon and Lucia leaves the squad after base attack just because...
How 3 year old game with very positive rating on steam can be so broken? I dont know but at least I bought it on a sale so I didnt lose much
