Patriarch's Rangers Reputation
So I messed up on a certain mission and lost 15 rep with the Patriarch's Rangers and I spammed quick saves like an idiot so I don't have a save to fall back on so my question is: Will not having max reputation with them deny me from any endings? If so is it worth just starting again because the mission in question is -very- early in the game (In the lower district.) and it would be easy to get back there quickly but re-making my squaddies would be a pain

Do you really think that something like this will prevent you to finish the game?

I think you mean patriarch's marshals.

It's not that big of a deal, definitely don't restart the game

If you really care for that particular reputation/faction then you can easily bring it up again if you have some patience with a certain method. But otherwise you should also be good.

There's a trader called B. B. Gun on the world map that increases that reputation with a Kiss Ass chat option. Every time you meet her you can increase the reputation by 1. So if you want to max it just enter the world map, find her, chat, leave the world map, rinse & repeat.

Almost all factions have such a trader. All of these traders have random spawn points, but all the Downtown factions are around the start area/Colorado Springs, so it's not a crazy amount of work. But you'll also meet them pretty often while playing "normal", so it's not really needed to do is this way. ;)

No, I did not think this to clarify I wanted to know if there was a secret ending that required all Reputations to be max to get it. I know there are some games that have very strong requirements for their secret endings so just making sure!

Thank you all for your responses and to Lord Nibbler I'll definitely try that, thanks!

Just tried out the method, because I am disliked by the Marshals when talking to Gunn she just flips me off and moves on

Ouch so bad? (I never was so low, and already had the Kiss Ass at 3 so I had no problem with her)

Well you might take a look at the Wiki and see if you have a chance to still improve it; that's the last tip I can give you: Patriarch's Marshals Wiki[wasteland.fandom.com]

Yeah. Me too :}

Marshals (read: Daisy) don't like it when you let people go or choose civilians over them. Your rep with The Patriarch and recruiting/dealing with other NPC is far more important. Be a Desert Ranger not a corrupt Marshal!

(don't restart +1)

The 'golden' ending is pretty niche and specific in what you can or can't do, but there are enough ending outcomes that you're not locked out of *a* good ending if you just keep playing. A game like this is meant to be played more than once anyway.

Mind you, the 'golden' ending you're refering to requires you to make choices I wouldn't even consider as being "good" anyways.

I'd tend to agree. You're making a lot of moral compromises along the way, to the point where I think it's probably questionable how much better than the Patriarch or Red the Rangers would end up being, assuming they kept making those kinds of compromises going forward. Paved with good intentions and all. But it's certainly the hardest ending to get.
