The Vase Puzzle Patriarch Palace

Every source that talks about the guardian handgun says that I need someone with weird science 7, although I went to the dining room and I interacted with the vase since I do have weird 7 but it only mentions how it looks but doesn't let me do anything else. I need help, anyone?

It's been a while. I recall the west wing (or left when facing the patriarch) requires a clue somewhere else for you to see. It's possibly either interjecting with the 2 folks outside the building in the right corner facing it (adoption papers of one of them are in that room). Alternatively, I think there is something in the east/children/right wing that might unlock that. As far as I remember, the only weird science check is in the right wing. I think its in the daughter room.

Alright thanks! found out that I had to get lockpick 7 first in order to access the room with the clue, then I would be able to use weird science 7.
