Is this game pretty hard or is it just me?

I've just started the game and after I did all the quests in Colorado I met the clowns and their car in the museum... and I just can't beat the battle, on normal. I disabled all three tower but the car is constantly spawning enemies and the flame thrower guys make a barbeque unless I can manage to blow them up with a 33% chance.

It seems my guns are doing very, very little damage except the heavy gunner, my sniper who can only shoot one time / round and to a certain degree the brawler who can stun enemies pretty well but gets killed in the next round as he needs to engage in melee without cover.

The clowns in the museum are above curve in terms of level if you meet them as soon as you leave colorado. I'd go back to them later.

If you are hell bent on trying that encounter early, try to start the encounter with a couple of snipers who have full strike meters and blow up the car early.

Also try blasting them with a rocket, or RPG. Those weapons deal massive damage and can end that whole fight pretty quickly.

The game has a lot of these ramping difficulty spikes. I don't know if it's bad game dev or what but F5 is your friend.

I think you need to match weapon tier, otherwise you do no damage.

engage them then run out of the building the just overwatch/ambush, once you killed all the goon then go for the clown tank...at lest that what I do...did not even notice spawning enemies

The fight is a lot easier when you have better guns. I'd do it after you finish The Bizarre. Also, Piscatelli at the Bizarre has some good stuff to buy before you even do the Warrens. Also, there are some fights in The Bizarre/Warrens that are tricky too.

the clown car spawns enemies for every clown killed.. like a clown car its filled with endless amounts of clowns.. theres a skill for big guns which can kill disable enmy vehicles too

If you "specialize" your characters, and cover as many of the important skills and only one weapon (plus some in melee for emergencies") as you can, its easy. If you try to make all your characters "jack of all trades"....Not so much. I got it for the PS4, and its great.

There's no great hurry to do the Clown Museum at any particular time in the game, it's there and can be done whenever. That said, the earlier you get the loot from it, the more use you'll get out of that loot. The one thing I remember getting from that fight is the Payaso Turret for the kodiak, which is pretty good, but not as good as the Fullborer which you can get later. You also get the Oversized Mag there, which can be useful on some guns, specifically the Meat Maker.

That said, there are no skill books, creepy dolls, or other unique goodies to be had there, but there is decent loot.

Also, you may have noticed you can walk around the outside of the tent. It's a lot easier from the back.

Thanks guys, I just skipped the fight for now. It's my first playthrough and some characters still had their starting weapons (I tend to never buy any weapons when I'm not familiar with a game). I'll be back.
