And if they fix a few of the very misleading translation errors into german i would be very pleased. I mean "+1 Wahrnehmungsradius" for "+1 Quick Slot" is not even close. But the very best is "Gegenstand auf Regal verwenden" "for use item on self".
Already i have waited a few weeks, before i have bought Wasteland 3 but the dissapointment of the inability to release a polished game for nearly any company in the gaming industry nowadays has get another proof for me. And with polished i don't mean bugless. I'm an older gamer and i am able to live with a lot of thinks but the described two translation errors above are showing that inixile isn't able to to a serious translation Q&A.
Again, i really hope you fix the game to a better instance. But my reaction is that your next game will get a shot only with the year one edition.
Sorry and Greetz.
Will the game finally get a working anti-aliasing feature? Current AA is horrible and does basically nothing. Only thing you can do is set your resolution higher than your native resolution. Which tanks your fps massively.
Seriously, the last time i saw such a bad AA solution was back in PS2 times. Even 720p Switch games stretched to 4k resolution have less jaggies. I hope you guys are able to fix that before a possible Directors Cut Edition.
Besides that: A fun game.
Anyway this is good since i will likely buy the game next month. Better to play with all those bugfixes.
Do those bugs include the vanishing animal companions?
That workaround ends though, when after taking down the last child of the Patriarch and you arrive back at HQ, the game just willy nilly teleports two of the characters in your party in front of you as if they were at HQ the entire time, and remove them from your party. Your animals are now gone, and there's nothing you can do about it.
I was thinking of a workaround for this issue by changing the order of the characters as you can do, but that doesn't work, becaue the moment the game loads another location, it resets your characters order; which begs the question why you can change the order.
Looking forward to CP2077 myself. But I will wait for release to see how buggy it is. Maybe playing an improved W3 while waiting for CP to be patched :p.
Anyway I do think W3 is one of the best games this year, and far better than all 3d fallouts expect New Vegas. I was lucky on the bug side, my only complaint beside rare crashes are animal companions. Can´t have Major Tom, as he dissappears after reloading or channing map. Not only that but this causes also to bug our pathfinding (group movment doesn´t work, even if activated), and game will be caught in a loop next cutscene (because the chars don´t move where they are supposed to move in that cut scene. In my case either when entering the truck after the first map, should I have reloaded with Major Tom recruited. Or, the next scene when meeting the Patriarch, as the chars don´t move up to start dialog after the greeting.
Other than than that It´s fine. Load times already adressed. My only real complaint, it´s too short, and it should have more than one city that you revisit regulary (Denver could have been more fleshed out as 2nd hub for mid to late game e.g.) Seems much shorter than W2, i wonder why they made that decision. Also I would like to see easter egg random encounters like Fallout 1 + 2 did. Why no one bring those back?
Joke's on you.
There's a reason frugality and patience pays off when you postpone the purchase of games at least 1 year, most likely even longer:
- The game might be fixed until then
- Removed content to be sold as DLC can most likely be bought as a single package with the base game
- Mod support and mods might be present
- Price will most likely be within an acceptable range
I might think about getting Wasteland 3 in ~1 1/2 years.
