nice tip
Ray Tracer has a lot more range and can hit multiple enemies along its narrow cone (my record was 5 enemies lined up, 3 kills scored). Also damage-wise its a lot better against synths and robots (while worse vs organics). Builds with 7 in Small Arms, Draw! perk and -1 AP to reload mag absolutely rock with it. Can do like 5 shots in the 2nd round. Also in 1st if you want to cheese equipping it from inventory after combat start.
Well, I did that - more or less. I've kept a little challenge by playing a 4-man team in SJ.
Regret I didn't buy Man Cannon pistol from Cheebus. Think I'd enjoy having that as main weapon. Don't like the feel of shotguns (plus using them feels like cheating). Well, my main ended highly versatile using assault rifles (mainly Lancer plus explosive Meat Maker with Draw! and -1AP Mag as side arm to spend extra AP) and pistols at short range. Plus rocket launchers :)
My characters aren't even that great. No min / max.
Without turrets and decoys it would probably be harder though.
But still isn't that difficult.
Didn't know about Cheebus until now.
Still a fun game
