Finished the game, and just WTF?!
So I will try not to put any spoiler or anything. The end is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ super easy on Ranger difficulty and also what is up with the levels of items?! All the time, when we got new gear in the shop, we bought it and then it starts to drop in the world around us?! Pointless, why not before? Since we never used much or any of the drops because we bought all of it. We got all mail weapon skills on lv 10 and the only lv 10 item we found was a shotgun. No armor, no other weapons etc. I must say, lame...

There are level 10 other weapons, although they are worse than a lower level. Example, Jackhammer level 8, best shotgun in the game. Ray Tracer, level 10 sniper at your HQ. Best sniper rifle, probably Eliminator level 9. Lancer, level 10 auto rifle, just get a Socom at level 7.

I only bought ammo.

Yeah, the weapons were very inconsistent. Once I bought the Jackhammer shotgun, ripper SMG, and eliminator sniper rifle the game became easy mode. Put a range mod on that shotgun and you create a 1,200 damage cone of death across the battlefield with each 3 AP shot.

Yeah, if you know what you're doing, you can get to Cheebus at around level 10 as soon as you finish the exterior of the Bizarre. At that point, if you had high barter and the perk before selling any junk, you can just cruise over to Cheebus, buy the best weapons in the game, and then call in a tow. It will completely end whatever challenge the game might have had, though, especially if you had anything that resembled a competent character build.

Ray Tracer has a lot more range and can hit multiple enemies along its narrow cone (my record was 5 enemies lined up, 3 kills scored). Also damage-wise its a lot better against synths and robots (while worse vs organics). Builds with 7 in Small Arms, Draw! perk and -1 AP to reload mag absolutely rock with it. Can do like 5 shots in the 2nd round. Also in 1st if you want to cheese equipping it from inventory after combat start.

Well, I did that - more or less. I've kept a little challenge by playing a 4-man team in SJ.

Regret I didn't buy Man Cannon pistol from Cheebus. Think I'd enjoy having that as main weapon. Don't like the feel of shotguns (plus using them feels like cheating). Well, my main ended highly versatile using assault rifles (mainly Lancer plus explosive Meat Maker with Draw! and -1AP Mag as side arm to spend extra AP) and pistols at short range. Plus rocket launchers :)

Yep. Wasteland games have always been totally unbalanced but always great fun to play. Number 3 is no different, you spend most of the game running around with low to mid tier gear then with the final quest looming the game dumps every high tier item on you which makes you ridiculously OP, that end fight didn't even last two rounds for me.

I was only able to have 3 / 6 toons with jackhammers, could not find bother grind the 4th lol. but whatever by the end the one toon I had who was rocking 10 explosives / serial killer explodamaniac rocking a pdw-01 for single target and explosive 2 ap jackhammer for multi target would literally solo 2/3rds of the mobs alone with no cheesing on the first turn of any encounter.

I'm playing on SJ and I'm not finding it very hard, just using stuff I find.
My characters aren't even that great. No min / max.
Without turrets and decoys it would probably be harder though.
But still isn't that difficult.
Didn't know about Cheebus until now.
Still a fun game
