Is Supreme Jerk truly playable?
I am playing it on SJ and its not so bad but i have some situations where it seems i have to do a lot of cheese.
How viable is this since later on enemies will have have more hp than your entire squad and some fights you are forced to do in close quarters.
Is the game truly balanced for SJ? because i am seeing even now that penetration and armor are completly nerfed on your characters

I believe Supreme Jerk is supposed to be overwhelming, not balanced.

and i belive i asked if it's playable, not how tough it is
its doable, but annoying, a lot of depends on rng, maximaze inteligence, strenght and invest a lot in luck, my melee build was using bladed weapon, with perk, that will give you free attack

that was my lvl 20 melee build, pumped rest of the points in luck, armor is pretty much useless most of the time,
my build was doing often crit. hits with 750-850 dmg on average and megacrit could go from 1800-2500,
you also want to have a good sniper build, rest is upon you,
there are couple annoying fights, where you are outnumbered and 3/4 of your team will get crit hit and deleted in first turn, so save a lot

It's not hard at all. Build your characters for max damage (coord 8, max int and max awareness), give them 5-6 strength for hp and tank armor and ignore the higher level armors and you are all set. Position your team well and mod your weapons for crit, range and cone but save the best mods for end game.

Thanks, so i need an even more specialised build for this, probably not worth it then since all SJ does is to increase the stats too much and not change tactics/numbers/gear of the enemy

if you go for achievement, then it might be worth it,its playable, but its not fun definitely, I did it on first playthrough though, took me 50 hours

Its doable and no its not based on RNG..... its based on cheese mainly.

Turrets, decoys, and smoke grenades are king. Along with getting a ton of the pets in the game help.

You also asked if it's balanced.

I beat on supreme jerk, most fights was easy, i never even used turrets or decoys. Smoke grenades i used alot and demoralize and engulf to lower their hit chance. Fire, bleed poison at high hp targets and alot of other Tactics. Plenty of options to get the odds in your favor.

Hello,

SJ mode is do-able in several ways. I have found that it is more based around maximizing your build types.

As far as balance and the need for "cheesing", SJ isn't suppose to be balanced so you may have to use "Cheese" tactics in more than one battle.

My advice is to plan ahead as much as you can and just enjoy the load screens lol.

Hope this helps and good luck mate.

I had no trouble beating supreme jerk. In fact first thing I did was complain about it being too easy. Although the difficulty varies significantly from start to finish.

Levels 1-10 (pre-Bazarre) the balance is good with a nice challenge.
Levels 10-14 (under the Bazarre) is stupidly easy with many fights, including final clown posse boss fight resulting in no damage to my group.
Levels 14-18 (Denver) the balance is again ok.
Levels 18+ (Aspen and beyond) the game is pointlessly easy. And the final fight of the game is a huge disappointment where I wiped out all but 2 enemies in 1 turn, then finished them off on the 2nd turn.

I tried using the punk lovers pair but I can't get past the camp of dorseys right after you save jodine bell. How are you supposed to beat them with just a shotgun and a melee weapon and you have little to no supplies?

Cohh streamed a playthrough of SJ, without guides available, so yeah, anyone should be able to.

My scrub builds are good even on supreme jerk, 40 hours in.

i beat it on SJ. oddly enough the worst fight in the whole game to me was a random fight inside libertys compound with drools. but outside of a few random encounters, the game was pretty easy, even on supreme jerk. the last fight with liberty is extremely easy, and the final fight at the very end was a joke, since you can just run over half of the enemies with your kodiak.
