Wikis atm are useless.

Anyone knows where is the Ion Beamer SMG and Atom Smasher assault rifle?

Are they ×5 shot each?

Also, is there somewhere a second weapon bore that gives that sweet sweet +20 dmg somewhere? I m stuck with just one since denver.
Also a second quick mag with -1 ap to shoot would be nice too.

Final question, is the laser spewer the best smg? I m only missing ion beamer thus i m not sure.

There is a random encounter shop on the travel map where you can get some of the advance weapons for sale early (I don't think those encounters repeat either, so once you've meet him you can't do it again). The Atom Smasher shows up in late game shops (including your base). Don't remember an Ion Beamer. Must not have found it, it may be a boss drop that I didn't get because I kept arresting them (silly me, I know)
Can't remember where I got my first Atom Smasher besides the shop, probably a container.
It is x5 shoots.


The contents of most containers (weapons and armor boxes especially) is randomly generated on opening them, and I think it's scaled to your level. So you can save scum until you find something decent.

I had at one point 2 of the +20, - x accuracy barrels.
Didn't find a 2nd -1 ap mag.
Your best bet, if you have the money and the weapon mod perk, is to buy all the guns you find and start dismantling them, the results are random so you may get lucky. At least the pure +8 dmg barrels drop decently often.

There is an unique explosive SMG (PDW-01) with 116 penetration, 50 bullets in the mag, as well as x6 shoots you can get at the honey badger that I found to better than all of the others, situationally even better than Atom Smasher.

Thinking about it, I think i found one of the Atom Smashers after getting all the crates to spawn in a Scorpitron encounters (with sneaky ♥♥♥♥)

The World Map has two Scorpitrons patroling around (SW and NE corners), if you go to interact with it you can make 3 Sneaky ♥♥♥♥ skill checks to get extra crates to spawn on the combat map before the Scorpitron forces you to fight it. Once you win you can loot them for good loot, depending on your luck, but you can save scum before opening the creates to farm good loot.

Update: the PDW is located at "massacre site" south east on the world map. It's a monster.
I slapped on it the +20 dmg and -1 ap to shoot mods and upped explosives skill. It now does more than 105 - 190 dmg (per bullet) and it bursts 6 times per shot. Its godlike. Instant killed one shot scorpitron in combat (no sneak).

Hmmm... i already killed 2 of them. They had max lockpick safes and couldnt open them atm. Do the scorpitrons respawn?
