Maybe useful in future dlc or unfinished features that couldn't' be done in time for launch? i feel like devs played around with crafting and scrapped it and some junk items is leftovers from that.
- Dog Sh*t = 1 x Dog Sh*t
---> probably a dev-test not cut or the devs pulling our leg.
- Cardboard box = 70 x scrap + 6 x burned book
---> a light helmet (easter egg for Metal gear solid???)
---> sold all my burned book so don't know spec.
- ArmorMod Legs CombatBelt = ?? x scrap + 1 x wolverine fur
--->no info.
You would be wise to save up your Scrap for crafting stuff. Junk items can be sold, but it would be wise to wait until somebody on your team has the Antiques Appraiser Perk from the Barter skill before you do that.
If you're not above save scumming, you could save the game right before hitting "Sell Junk" and then retry and see how much Antique cash you get. It's random, so it does vary a bit from one sale to the next,
Actually there are a lot of recipes who use junk.
Crafting was introduced with patch 1.4, released in May 2021. It wasn't part of the base game at release. i.e. the post was accurate at the time it was posted. That's why necroing threads is often ill advised.

If youre playing now is better to know that the info in this topic are wrong, thats why i posted.
