I feel the developers need a lot more time to finish a lot of quests, especially the ones that will break the game if you make certain choices, and other quests where you have no choices at all, or common sense choices that aren't even included in others.
A lot of fun and great potential, but there is a lot of work unfinished for this game which is why they aren't receiving the "very positive" rank yet like Wasteland 2 did.
Hoping they will follow through on the tons of bug reports and broken quests, and go back and fix them sooner rather than later. It's a big part of why I stopped playing and haven't finished the game yet, because there are too many broken quests and ways to perma break the game entirely.
[*What level were your characters when you beat her, btw? I also did many of the side missions before heading to Denver, and I don't think I was really near a level to beat her]
I agree that it's a plot hole, and think it's one that should be filled.
While she's effectively set up to be a kind of final boss character, her death is not the end goal of the story, so the game should theoretically be able to incorporate her death and continue.
Presumably killing her would anger the Patriarch (putting your mission to get supplies from him in serious jeopardy), make you pretty famous, and scare the other factions/children to a point where you could get different negotiation options depending on your skills (spitballing here).
Yes, I agree with all of this, especially if the devs had the foresight that this might actually happen.
It's disapointing that the community can come up with lots of interesting and well thought out ways to give players multiple ways to handle things, and how it would continue in the game, yet the content creator(s) on dev team seemed to put minimum effort into them.
Real shame, and I hope this is something they will change/fix or give modding support to the community to fix these issues.
Wasteland 2 had a ending that could be achieved in a few minutes, but unlike this it blew away any chances to do anything else
Really want to see what the dlc stories are going to incorparate
I was level 22. i have finished side quests around Aspen (but not Aspen) And side quests in Colorado city and Bizzare region.
These 2 robots that she has are hackable and do not do anything on first turn, so if your hackers survive Liberty first attack, you can hack them and she starts acting rather weirdly running around and trying to shoot them.
I guess points to devs for allowing to attack her, but it seems like there should been some plot turn after that, or at least some warning that game ends with Liberty death. Because from conversations and quest descriptions it is not that clear.
Recalling Wasteland 2, i am sure it will be solved in a Directors Cut!
Time will tell, but it may take them another year to figure out what they want to do with this game, as I doubt we will see any "definitive" edition until late next year at the earliest. They have way to many bugs and broken quests to fix first.
It would not be the great end, but at least some logical final.
go in kill the partriarch you will get an ending
Yeah no what?
