In most cases, pets are charmed using the AW Skill, and EACH characters who wishes to have a pet much have AW themselves. There are exceptions, like Polly, Major Tomcat, etc, where special dialog checks give you the pet. So 1 character without AW can get Major Tomcat, a 2nd character without AW can get Polly, and a 3rd character can get the best pet with level 10 AW, but the whole team CANNOT get 1 pet each just because one member of the team has the Skill. That's not how it works.
It is a little bit misleading, because of getting the special cat Major Tom at first. So the other question with changing animals is obsolet.
Thx for clarifying.
My main char has AW at 5, but recruited the 2 headed goat time ago, which required idk, AW 2 or 3.
If I say bye to him, so I can recruit an animal requiring AW 5 , he cant be recruited again, as he only makes a "beeee" sound xD
But then, im wasting my MC with AW5, on a AW3 animal, while my other rangers, with AW3 max, have a pet requiring just one point.
If I could change companion, Id send the goat to another ranger with lower skill, and use mc to tame a higher one.
