What's a good charisma/leader build?
Hi, i'm looking for a Leader build for one of my first two character. Which attributes are better then others? (obv. charisma but how many points?)
Pistol, SMG or automatic rifle?

You can go two ways with an alternative possibility :
Pistol / Leader : 10 COO // 6 CHA short term or long term: 10 CHA 6 INT vicious avenger / serial killer
Brawl / Leader : 10 COO // 6 CHA short term or long term 10 CHA 6 INT Goat killer / serial killer

OR
Full Brain Build : CHA 10 INT 6 Bookworm & Pointdexter

OR
Melee: STR 10 CHA 6 Lethal Weapon & Pointdexter, very fun

Max charisma. 2 cordination, 2 str with bookworm and whatever you want for a quirk. I just make him a sniper so he sits at the back since he's squishy

10 int always first on ALL of your MAIN characters

So 10 int / 6 charisma
Max cha out
Then max str out
1/1/1/1/1 for the rest.

Every other attribute is either pointless or just weak.

You don't need more than 6 AP at the start of the game.

Other 3 guys 10 int / 6 str
1/1/1/1/1

All snipers and fists as offensive
They all have max health and armor like this.

learn a 2nd combat skill later down the line when you have leftover skillpoints.

Make your charisma guy your healer.

First aid 1
Hard ass 3
Sniper 1
Leadership 3

+5% crit on all characters
+100% all resist / -15% xp on all characters

i think it doesn't really mater what you do it works with anything...

If you are going with xp build make sure you get the chicken as animal it gives +% to xp couple that with bookworm and the ranger trinket and you will level like mad.

INT doesnt work the same as the previous game, it only gives a flat bonus so its charisma that you want to max out first to take full advantage of the xp bonus.

You need to max out int during character creation as int is not retroactive.
And since you will want to have int maxxed for critical hits and critical damage you might as well max it out from the start for those 5 extra bonus skillpoints.

yeah you can level int as you go i'm pretty sure only charisma actually matters from the mimimaxing. i think even STR gives hp for past levels hp retroactively...

Not true at all. Try maxing out sneaky ♥♥♥♥, sniper rifles, and awareness for even greater damage ranges with weapons. Character type determines ultimate build.

I agree the final level of int is pretty sweet but the earliar you max out charisma the sooner you take advantage of the xp benefits, just makes more sense to me from a min max point of view.

Just try it yourself, you will see that's not the case.

Also, all experience gained before level 4 is irrelevant anyways as you can simply increase your experience by dismissing and then rejoining and resetting their experience higher because you have a lvl 4 companion at ranger HQ.

10 int first always. No exceptions.

Guys you only need max charisma on one character. More than one character and all you are doing at that point is increase the rate your precision shot increases. If you have just one leader character with the xp bonuses, all you have to do is remove the rest of your team from the party for a minute and then add them back in and they will instantly level up to catch up to your highest level guy.

You just need to make sure you dont remove your leader from the team. I do this everytime I notice my leader is 3 or more levels ahead of everyone else. And then everyone instantly jumps a level or two

I'm pretty sure this is working as intended. And it makes sense so you can swap companions out. It sucks to be permanently locked into the companions that you take early. It's just that it can be abused if you choose to do so. Like creating one max luck/max barter character and then buying and selling scrap over and over for unlimited money early game
