Pre made duo vs custom made

What's your opinion on pre made duo, do they have big story /chat a lot or bland?

Is it worth it trading custom made character with pre made duo for story/ roleplay reason?
I know we can make much better suited character (stats and skill) with custom made character.

I think I'll go for pre made duo for additional story.

The only difference between the two is that the pre-made character have some dialogue between each other, kinda like the Unique NPCs do. That's it however, you'll get some passing lines but you don't get any more story content or missions out of it.

I'm playing the father and daughter duo and so far, I've only seen random bland chatter such as:
Li-Tsing: Remember how mother used to comb my hair?
William: Cook.
Li-Tsing: Yes, while you were making dinner. I know she's missing your dumplings.

So far, quite disappointing compared to recruitable companions who also participate in discussions and comment on situations (on top of chatting with each other).

That said, one of the random chatter also was:
Li-Tsing: We will find her killers.
William: Machines.
Li-Tsing: Which machines? There are so many...
William: All !
Which kinda suggest the mother was killed by machines so I'm waiting to find some synths and see if they wake up with blood in their eyes.

Make your own character if you enjoy it. There's little additional chat by the pre-made ones

I picked a duo, so I could jump in and start playing. Otherwise I'd spend a lot of time making one. I also thought there might be special dial or possible other goodies for doing a pre made duo. I also figure I can start over again later with a created duo at a later time. Either if I get bored, or on my 2nd play-through. Assuming the game has good replay value.

Devs said that pre-made characters are purely for new players or players who just want to jump right in with a preset build combo. They encouraged creating your own and skipping the pre-mades if you know what you're doing.

I used pre made duo the tech nerds. Seems they go silent most of the time, I don't see any real story between them yet.

Maybe it is better to use custom characters after all.
