Let's talk about the great Polly! Anyone else get Polly yet?

I assume he just sticks with you and is comic relief in a sense? Not sure if he can die or not yet?

Like all pets he can die. he was very funny but for me he died (and i didnt noticed).
So reloading is too far back, but ye.. very funny bird :D

I wish you could control them directly, or at least tell them to 'wait' while you go do a battle. It seems that if you try to have the enemies come to you, that any animals will die, because they just rush in, and enemies will target them first instead of coming toward you.

I had the same issue... Now I'm sad... beyond heart broken haha

I did figure out a workaround, but only works if the character the pet is bonded to is a sniper. If you stay far enough away from a fight (as a sniper does), any pets they have will not attack and just stand by the sniper. Still have the Maj Cat alive by doing this so far.

I bought polly on my main character that isn't an animal whisperer (so no perk for extra con on pets), at some point I was facing flamethrower enemies and the bird died. I didn't even notice until an area or two later. Makes sense though he only had 62 hp.

I got Polly and was looking forward to having her salty company with my team but she died in the next battle I was in. Got in the way of a rocket blast.

Same, great concept but the lack of ability to control pets ends up getting Polly fried quickly. At least for me it did, your mileage may vary.

Something I haven't tried, but just occurred to me, is dismissing and then re-charming animals. Anyone tried this?

I just left a wolf in an area to try a ram, and it just stood there, so I'm wondering if I can go back later and re-charm it. Would be a way to leave them somewhere safe before fights they would normally get killed in.

After having Pets attack and kill Prostitutes in Little Vegas (they show as active enemies, and cower until fight ends) which caused Both Lucia and Kwon to leave, I had to dismiss them before the fight, and then re charm them after. Side note, you might have to use the Ability (From the ability button) Tame Animal, for some.
