Should run circles around this kind of game. Even if I lower the graphics settings to medium (not pretty) performance is dreadful.
It's unplayable from the second or third turn (I fiddled with the settings and tried to reload a few times). Any action that requires any kind camera movement is just impossible.
It was fine on the opening battle, and anything inside the base was fine too.
Wow. Just ... wow.
Have a 9600K and a 1080 Ti. Playing at 1440p "high" settings. Was playing with ambient occlusion and screen space reflections on, but turning those off do not improve anything, neither does turning down shadow quality.
I also don't understand the loading times. They are usually "only" around twenty seconds between areas, but I haven't had to wait that long for a game to load on this PC since it was built at the end of 2018. Most games load in 5s or less, and those that are much more graphically intensive too.
Yes. General running performance on my end is absolutely phenomenal. 60fps, completely maxed out graphics, 1080p. Hell, even 4k is playable at 30fps. But the loading times are the worst. There must be a memory leak or something because they definitely get longer the longer you play. Restarting the game makes them relatively quick again.
My specs:

8gb DDR4
GTX 1050ti
