You literally wrote "You might be able to bypass the intro movie issue".
I'm writing here on how to FIX(not "bypass" but FIX) that issue by downloading/installing missing codec(s) and u're refusing to add the proper FIX for the issue to your thread which is called "Master Fixes for W3"? Srsly?
The fix is to upgrade to windows 10
If you HACK the game to work, that's not supported
Set a minimum 8 ~ and max out on 14gb
Shows you what it's capable of.
I don't generally like people touching this as they tend to do silly things like either making it too small or too large. Some people try to disable it entirely to 'save disk space' which just causes windows to have a seizure and causes all sorts of weird problems that don't make sense.
If you set it to 'system decides' that's fine really. Windows will expand/contract the paging file as it needs to. You really only want ot set a size if you want to avoid the performance hit of when windows expands the paging file. But in sort of a gaming perspective this really isnt a thing, its more of a problem if you've got a 128GB RAM server and are trying to expand the 128GB paging file. On the consumer OS, windows is smart enough to allocate paging space as needed.
Especially if you even have something called windows.old on your local drive.
The golden rule is aiming to be more than or equal to your total RAM capacity
No offense but I used to manage 20k workstations globally both desktop and mobile devices. And none of what you said ever occurred because we set the paging file to be system managed. If outlook “broke” or PowerPoint magically uninstalled it’s not because of a paging file
Windows.old doesn’t do anything it’s just residual files from an upgrade. It sounds more like you’re just not managing your disk space properly but that’s not an issue with the paging file
Just read what some of his "fixes" are :
"* add whitelisting for the game in your anti-virus" for example.
There isn't a single AV on virustotal which flags Wasteland 3 executable or W3 savefiles(which are basically a txt files) as potential threat, not to mention prevents it from writing this alone literally renders this "fix" useless from the beginning to the end - yet it's in his "MASTERFIXLIST".
Can't go to Little Vegas
When loading this location, the game crashes to the desktop

The UnityPlayer.dll file faulting likely means the game itself must be doing something to cause the crash.

I would submit a bug to the developers. If you can attach the save file that exhibits this behavior. You can find it at
\MyDocuments\my games\Wasteland3\Save Games
The only other thing you can try doing, though its for a different problem, is maybe try changing your region and keyboard to US/UK. Its possible the issue with the tutorial mission having a problem, could also be manifesting in a different way for different regions. This really is more of a guess though.
Thank!

Just throwing that out there since OP of this thread doesn't seem interested in actually helping people. Unless changing display resolution is now a "hack," Satoru would be wise to include this bit of information under the Win7 section instead of demanding users upgrade their operating system. Some users may be under similar constraints as I am and may not be willing to devote entire SSDs to separate Windows installs.
Rest of the game works fine so far as I can tell. There is nothing about the Unity engine, nor the required version of DirectX that would require Windows 10, and Win10 users who are not on 10N are similarly having issues displaying cutscenes at this very same resolution.
