Hero Level 20 max??

So it seem max hero level is only 20. That's a real bummer. Why can't we go past 20? Seems a little silly or at least have an option to play (solo) with high or no max. This sort of ruins part of the fun of the game, leveling up my heroes.

Is there at least a mod that I can subscribe to that will remove this 20 level cap?

In a normal game you can boost it to level 25 in the advanced settings, but not higher sadly.

I usually won games before my heroes ever got close to level 20 in Planetfall though as the exp came pretty slowly unless you were fighting a LOT!

That must just be for scenario play. Seems like in Empire mode you don't have that advance settings tab for heroes :(

To be fair, at least they're both Age of Wonders games. I've seen forums where posters ask things like "How do I build nuclear power plants for my city?" in the DOOM forums. ;)

I've played almost 400 hours and I've never had a hero get to level 20

Depends how you play. Kir'Ko in particular have some strategies that revolve around powerlevelling as many heroes as they can get with flying mounts and bonus XP doctrines, to hit max level like, before turn 30.
