Way to reduce the visual "clutter"?
I'd guess this isn't possible, though maybe there's a mod? I find the screen to have so many colors and shapes that it feels cluttered. It's pretty, but I'm getting headaches from eye strain trying to not only pick out the units on the board but to identify them. I keep losing track of a unit here and there in battle and I've given up looking at the map and see what areas have guardians without waiting for the hover text.

So far, I rather like the game, but the strain to visually identify things is taking it's toll...not something I remember ever having problems with AoW before (or 4x games in general). Endless Legends had a lot of the same sort of components on screen, but was much easier to look at.

If possible, you might want to try a bigger monitor. I have the same problem you do- the tactical battlefields are very cluttered and I have trouble locating the units. I was originally playing on my 15” laptop and I was having a lot of trouble with it. I switched to my 27” PC monitor and that really opened things up for me. Looks much better and easier to see the units, too- everything is clearer. It’s still cluttered, but workable now. The bigger monitor was a game changer for me.

I got a 50 inch 4 times tv I use and I still have a bit of trouble locating my units and enemy units.I also feel the control of units and moving and scrolling around the battle feald needs to be more crisp. Its early yet and im sure this will improve, Triumph is a great company and this game is going to be amazing I feel but its going to be a while before its more fleshed out.

I´ll Agree, it´s totally making things more difficult than they should be. I would love to have f.e. nice, thick, (more) colored Outlines that make my Armies and Units "pop out" on World and Combatmaps.

It might not solve your problem but selecting units with the "N" key might help locating stuff if its able to act on said turn

The "mechanical" side is fine...but it is (at least for me) annoying not having a "clear and distinct" sense where everything is or better which Unit belongs to whom. In 4x Combat it´s even worse...cycling a ton of times to think about where is everbody / how should I move is subpar....

Completely and totally agree. I was actually coming to see if this was something to be implemented. It's difficult to make things imo. I'm using a 34" curved LG monitor btw.

agree. love the art. can be difficult to see units sometimes. eye strain over time even with a 24" monitor.

Yep, style over function. Makes for great screenshots but for a bad strategy game when you cant even notice your own units. Hell I lost a city and I didnt even know it had happened!

Switch off bloom. Honestly, try it! Everything sparkly and distracting disappears and even the units etc are crisper.

Even with "Reshade" and several Filters I wasn´t able to keep track of everything the way it should visually be...(the Minimap is showing Quest goals now but no Armies or did I miss something to click on? ^^)
