Removing Score Preview
Hello! Is there a way to remove score preview from the game?

A few friends and I find it quite frustrating that you’re able to know if you will win when placing the 6th star. In the board game there is more competition as it’s difficult to guarantee victory upon placing the sixth star.

Someone can confirm this for me, but im pretty sure it says in the rules that a player may interrupt the game to calculate the end game score to plan their next move. Their is a variant that says if it takes longer than 10 seconds then that player loses 2 popularity.

if you wanted to use that variant it could be cool to have the option to turn it on in the game options. Since calculating everyone's score in 10 seconds seems unlikely they could have to pay 2 popularity to see the score if that option was selected.

Yes I do believe that it is in the rules but it more of a house rule where we don't interrupt the game as it makes the strategy more interesting. I do like the idea of the variant though - it would make it much more competitive in my opinion!

I would agree with this. The intention of the -2 popularity rule in the rulebook is clearly to discourage players from ever trying to calculate everyone’s score. Seeing scores with ease is against the spirit of the game.
