Decent for single player?
I realize this is a tabletop adaptation and thus designed for multiplayer. I'd like to know if the ai is nevertheless any good for predominantly single player. Your honest opinion is welcome, thanks in advance

Not one single person frequents this forum? Nobody at all??

Although I play the board game more often with friends, I still have a lot of fun against bots. But note, I'm a big fan of the game, so I personally don't care who I play against. I always have fun with this game. And when you've gotten a little better, there's nothing to stop you from playing the online multiplayer.

PS: Lass mich wissen, falls du weitere Fragen hast.

The bots are pretty good and great for getting familiar with the game. They could use some better strategy for combat in particular. I find single player particularly good for seeing how few turns you need for a win for a given faction/mat combo or how you might keep the advantage in score if you can't be first to six stars.

I have the board game and play solo with the automata deck. I think the electronic AI is probably more like a real player but with its own faults. I haven't played this version as much yet but that's my first impression.

I play with the AI on hard and quite enjoy it. I really enjoy just trying to make the most efficient engine possible though.

Well I think I've learned the game by now, even though I'm sure I'm a pretty poor player, and now am absolutely befuddled by the AI: In the last 4 games I have played, I have tested against "easy", "medium" and "hard" AI bots, and each time, I win with slightly more than 100 points, while the AIs get between 30 and 70. What is befuddling is that the AIs score lower on "hard", consistently scoring no more than 50.
What, if any, is the difference between the AIs?
Considering that this game has almost no luck-based contingencies, one would imagine that an AI could do fairly well -- what makes the "hard" AI so poor?

I kind of wish that the AI used the Automa rules of the physical board game. I find that very satisfying to play against.

I enjoy playing the AI but I would also love it if they added automas that work identical to the physical board game.

Root digital has both a "regular" ai but also an adaptation of the physical games "clockwork" opponents.

Hi Calvin- When playing Solo using the Automa with the Board Game, can you 'mix-n-match' and have more then 1 Automa Player, and/or play Solo two or three handed versus it all?
