Possible Bug - Cannot get past Barotion Crossing (North)

I might have missed something, but I cannot find the alternative route through the crossing. According to the guide, there should be a switch behind the inn indicated by a shiny, but I am not seeing it.

Have you "eaten" the new recipe in the inn?
I think there was a sign or rumour in the inn or area that gives you the hint with the switch.

Thanks. I figured it out. I needed to trigger the cut scene at the Spot, which in turn caused the woman at the inn to appear to offer the apples, and then the switch behind the inn. Leaving this here in case anyone else runs into the same roadblock.

Fun game by the way. I am enjoying it much more than any recent big budget JRPGs. At its current price, it is a steal.
