What do the stats actually do?
I can't find anything that actually says what the individual stats actually do.

ATK: ???
AGI: ???
LUCK: ???
Etc...

I can guess but that's not the same as actually having this information.

ATK - Attack is how much damage you deal to the enemy. Generally the formula is (Atk * 4 - enemyDef * 2) times some modifier.
DEF - Defense lowers how much damage an enemy does to you
MAG - How much magic damage you do to the enemy
MDEF - Magic Defense lowers how much magic damage an enemy deals to you
AGI - Agiliy is how fast your stamina bar goes up in battle. High agility makes you have more attacks quicker.
LUCK - Controls a lot of things, like how often you get critical hits (double damage), how much experience points you get, how often the enemy misses you, etc.

Also if you want specific damage formulas you can find them on the Wikia here[foreverhome.wikia.com].

I think in the Headquarters are some NPCs at the Training Area who will fill you in.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Luck controls how much an enemy misses you?

I figured it would add a small modifier to the agility stat if anything. Interesting design choice.

Whoops sorry, I just checked the formulas and luck actually does not affect EVA (how often the enemy misses). It affects your hit rate (how often you miss the enemy), critical hits, preventing enemy critical hits, magic evasion (how often the enemy's spells miss you), and a little bit of the exp you get.

Sorry to res this post, but it's somewhat related so I didn't want to make a new one.

Devs say Luck increases crit chance, but why is my Sandra crit chance lower than Enda when Sandra has 55 luck and enda only 32.

Sandra crit chance is 12.33% while Enda is 20.85%.

Every character starts with different base stats for crit:
Throg: +0% crit
Asera: +3% crit
Xero: +4% crit
Burns: +4% crit
Sandra: +4% crit
Kina: +5% crit
Enda: +6% crit
Slash: +8% crit

And then most of Enda's weapons add crit as well.
I should list out all the base stats on the wiki when I find time.

Some extra questions:

1. Does any of the stats increase healing power?

2. Some shards have a "Cannot exceed x%", is this talking about the stacked effect from other similar shards or from all sources? (Like items), so for example: Mag spike "cannot exceed x%" does this mean even if you use several mag shards you can't exceed that number? Does items count towards it as well?

3. Is there a way to see a more "verbose" explanation of skills and item effects? Because a skill/item saying "increase attack by a small/great amount" isn't very clear, how small is small? 10%, 20%? This is what I mean, would be nice to actually know the numbers.
