NOTE: Devs banned my account right after making this review and hours after buying their knight dlc. i will be going to my bank going out of my way to get my money back. DO NOT PAY THEM ANY MONEY!

Review: once you get off starter island the economy is like a usury simulator. penalties are beyond harsh. everything is trying to tax you, vendors dont pay you for items, you will spend like 20k to process some items and then try to sell it to a vendor to try to get your head above water and vendor only will pay you 6k for an hour of grinding trying to get it. spent like 6 hours grinding at harbur island lost around 80k worth of stuff in penalties, lost most of my leveling process from leveling penalties and only made around 10k so overall 6 hours grinding = negative 90k and negative leveling.

market expects you to pay around 100k to list items and you usually only make as much as you spend on fees so market is usually dead. economy is so bad too that people are selling things on market dirt cheap just to try to make a bit of coin. feels like slavery. the game seems to lack common sense in very simple areas too like putting icons on vendors on compass or map. on map letting mouse to drag to edges to pan map is missing, simple aspects of the game. players say economy will be fixed when many people start playing so seems inevitable for game to fail.

starter island was fine but after that game just doesnt work unless you grind unbareably for days bashing stickmen in the head that are widely spread out. just find yourself running constantly and dying. every little zone wants to tax you to even be able to level by grinding creatures. seems overal very poorly thought out.

there is a lot to like here, more to dislike. combat was good, i liked the magic system, the starter island was fun, albeit small. however, getting off the island, everything kills you easy, losing skills upon death, dropping tons of expensive spells, money, and other items. you will get locked out of the gear youre wearing if you die.

also, ♥♥♥♥ PAYING TAXES... especially in a video game.

you get a quest to hunt animals, you get taxed passing through an area, THAT YOU ARE NOT EVEN HUNTING IN. if you dont pay, you can be killed for minimum penalty and lose karma... seriously, a small hat had to have come up with that mechanic.

seriously this game taxes your movement like ZOG wants to do IRL... until thats gone this game will languish

there was a good base game, but superfluous mechanics like movement tax and getting locked out of your gear upon dying, is seriously holding the game back. getting locked out of my worn equipment upon respawning killed any desire to continue in this game...

10/10 one of the best upcoming MMORPG ive played in a very long time .
its requires dedication i tell you that.
