There's two endings (well, rather a "special ending scene"), the game takes 3 hours to complete unless you rush it and the story is pretty nice.

I never buy games at full price, I got it for like $5 I'm pretty sure. For that price it was definitely worth it. I don't recommend buying games at full price nowadays, most of the games are overpriced. Games go on sale all the time.

not even with a discount, this game should be either 1 buck or less

Shouldn't you own the game before saying things like "this game isn't worth it."?

What a donkey. Its more like a visual novel than a game. If you dont like "games" with heavy story and small gameplay it is ofcourse not the 20$ worth for you.

i did but i got a refund due to it not letting me replay it because my followers wanted to see it but like i also said i played it and it was very fast to finish so yeaaaaaaaaaaaa

I don't think this game counts as a "visual novel". Maybe a "visual short story".
Also, I wouldn't say it has a heavy story. The game is mainly about the adventure, not the plot itself.

I agree, but that is one of the reasons why I think the game is a bit expensive. I expected more "discovery" gameplay, but the only gameplay were the choices you made along the way and I hardly experienced what the consequences of those choices were.. Gonna try and replay to see if the story would be different, but to me it felt like I was just clicking through a short story with the plot revealed in the very last minute.

Spoilers about the choices in the game and the ending ahead:Well, that's right. There's not really any discovery, and your choices don't really matter despite how the game promotes itself. Most choices change a line of dialogue in the future at most, but have no impact on the actual story. Even though the game has 2 endings (actually, both endings are the same except that the "good ending" has an extra scene), those aren't determined by your choices but by how much glitter you threw.

I can't really speak about the price because steam games are very cheap in my country, but 20 dollars seems insanely expensive.

Agreed. I feel I payed too much for it at half-price. It's well put together in terms of controls and visuals, but there wasn't enough to do to make it interesting. I've played through it once, but it wasn't entertaining enough for me to play through again in an attempt to uncover more story. It's a shame as it has potential. The original price is just really baffling!

If you're referring to the previous post, all games are 4-5 times cheaper in some countries (Russia, Argentina, etc).

As for the game, I think buying it for half price might've been too high if you were looking to get it for cheap (I got it maybe 1/4th of the price from a bundle). But, $20 for a fully voiced point&click game is not a "baffling" original price. Edna & Harvey, Adam Wolfe, even Fran Bow, they're all of similar prices, all point&clicks and all of them are from different companies.

For an indie game where three people did most of the work, the fantastic soundtrack, the artwork, the animated cutscenes, the programming, and the voice-acting, 20 dollars is not out of the question. Story is also ambiguous enough to the point that I thought about it for a good while after I was done, which I can't say for games that were far more expensive.

OP needs to quit whining and learn what a scam is

I don't think having an ambiguous story is always a positive. It's definitely easier than having to tell things, though. Having the players discuss among themselves about the story is fine, but I don't think there's much to discuss with this game.

Also, this game barely has any voice actors, and one of them is already the creator so I don't know if she had to pay herself to voice act. The soundtrack is fine, but I wouldn't call it fantastic. Personally I can't remember any of it's songs. Though I have to agree about the artwork and animations.

I think this game is obviously not a scam and I understand that it costs a lot to make games like this, but it still feels overpriced to me. I was lucky steam games are extremely cheap in my country, so in my case I don't feel like I wasted my money (I got the game on january for the current equivalent of 1.5 dollars). But I can see people who paid more being dissapointed. The main problem is that the game promises players meaningful choices, but the game doesn't actually have any.

i could finish the game in 2 hours and was badly disappointed because i love fran bow with good tasks

this game is fun with ok voices but far too easy and good music and good personal

but for 5 eur 100% just fine :)

will even give the game 6/10 which is not bad

It's just on sale and definitely worth the £5, like ... get it!!!
Sved Sep 20, 2021 @ 8:46pm
I feel it's not worth the price. It's very much a mobile game, very close to a kid app, a visual novel with little interaction. As a successor to Fran Bow, it's a bit of a letdown.
