My least favourite level is Big the Cat's Hot Shetler (SA1). Among my least favourte levels are all Big the Cat levels in SA1, some of the Tails levels in SA2, all Silver levels in Sonic 2006, all the Werehog levels in Sonic Unleashed and the rail grinding levels in Sonic Lost World.

There are quite a lot of awful Sonic stages but ones that were particularly bad were Bingo Highway and Railway Canyon in Heroes as well as Planet Wisp and the final boss in Generations and every Sonic Boom level

I honestly despised Planet Wisp in Generations for both modern and especially classic sonic. The levels themselves were way too long and were just boring imo and were boring to look at (apart from the start of the modern sonic stage which looks pretty with the forest etc). Also railway canyon was annoying because of the constant rail grinding

I'm only covering games that I've played so sorry if I've missed any. Sonic 1 I didn't find many faults with, CD has bad level design for a Sonic game, but the rest of the levels are good, and both Sonic 4 games I can't decide on. special stages maybe but that's about it.

I did play Sonic R PC but I don't remember much of it, bad level wise.

Sonic 3: Marble Garden Zone

Sonic 3D Blast PC: Volcano Valley as an example only (can't remember any other bad ones)

Sonic Adventure 1 1998 version: all of Big the Scat's levels

Sonic Adventure 2 Dreamcast: Mad space, many of the side missions and the Chao raising. (Battle too)

Sonic Heroes: Difficult to say

Shadow the Hedgehog: None unless you count the "destroy the fleeing vehicle" missions (except Air Fleet's one) and Mad Matrix dark mission (off the top of my head)

Sonic the Hedgehog 2006: All town missions and Silver's Dusty Desert only due to the irritating minigolf at the end.

Sonic Unleashed: never got that far due to the horrible coin/medal hunting and the tedious drunkard photography so I can't say.

Sonic Generations: Seaside Hill because it's just a second first level; a nice level nonetheless but it's just that Casino Park, Mystic Mansion or Final Fortress would be more appropriate for the Heroes section, and Planet Wisp because it's a stupid idea for a final level: It should have been the penultimate level and the final one should have been End of the World from Sonic 2006, but with all the Generations levels instead with classic Sonic doing the 2D sections only and modern Sonic doing 3D only, just before the Time Eater fight.

Sonic Pinball Party: The Samba de Amigo table due to being rather boring and Eggman's story stage due to unfair and near impossible to beat design.

Sonic Advance 3: all levels, but only when hunting for those bloody chao. Otherwise all stages are fine.

Sonic Rush: Hard to say but all bosses on normal to start with and definately some special stages.

Sonic Rush Adventure: Johnny race special stages and 99% of the side missions.

I dot know if you knew this or not but apparently Sega actually let the fans decide which levels from each game were to be put in. They asked people to vote a level for each sonic game so saying things like 'planet wisp because its a stupid idea for a final level' is kinda unneccessary as that was what the fans asked. Also, Seaside Hill was a great level and probably my favourite in the game tbh
Zevlag 28 AGO 2016 a las 12:46 p. m.
Yes, I agree that Seaside Hill was a good level in Generations because it isn't like Green Hill, but rather like a water level, it's actually the main water zone in Generations, the classic act resembles Hydrocity and it's great. About Planet Wisp, I liked the zone, specially the modern act, but for the last level perhaps they should add Asteroid Coaster or Terminal Velocity instead since they fit better for a last level.

Don't get me wrong; Seaside Hill is a nice level but Green Hill was our coastal level and some of the other levels in heroes were very good as a mid game level option. It could at least be kept as long as another was added though as I never liked the "one level per game" method both Generations versions have.

I didn't know it was a fan vote and also, I said that Planet Wisp should be the penultimate one and a Generations version of End of the World accessed through the Final Boss gate just before the Time Eater could be the final level. So not to throw it away completely, just add a ultimate test level in the last story section following the modern era, like Cannon's Core, the Last Way and the original End of the World.

I am a very strong Sonic fan myself, but I just didn't know about the votes and didn't have access to some of the media platforms at the time.

Still, having some more levels in Generations overall would be great, such as Final Fortress, White Acropolis and Kingdom Valley. Some Shadow levels too would also be nice, like Final Haunt and Space Gadget. (levels that Sonic actually appeared in)

I just didnt like them. I know a lot of people hated Sonic Heroes because of how long the levels were but I didnt have a problem with the long times in Heroes despite hating the long planet wisp levels in generations. Both levels were just boring imo

i had lots of fun playing both levels in generations and colors and i love long levels cause it makes it better and short levels makes the game really boring like sonic 2 i can possibly beat that game in 3 hours or faster including the special stages
