Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) for Steam and why.
We can all agree that this game isn't great but that doesn't mean we should just forget about it. It is infamous of glitches being at every corner. Although it is riddled with bugs, it is not unplayable for I beaten it twice. However, why I want it on the PC via Steam is not because I am some masochist, its because I am hopeful of the modding community. Modding communities have done things like this before; they modded buggy and broken games to be the original developers aspirations for it. I would love there to be one day a mod in the Steam Workshop for Sonic 06' to play this game with a new light. I could be at the ranks of SA 1 and 2. But some also want to play it for how bad it is originally. The notoriety itself made this game memorable and would be an experience some want to go through. Also it would be nice to have Sonic06 in my collection.

Plus, if the modders can't fix the game, I'm sure Sega will find time to fix at least the PC version of 06.

The modders can definitely fix the game. Trust me, I know one and he's fixed majority of the problems with Sonic, Shadow, Omega, Rouge, Amy, and more just from the totally legally owned copy of the 360 version from a legitimate game console.

I wish SEGA would fix the lip sync issues in Sonic Adventure 2, something they haven't done in any of its ports.

That's because it would be very difficult to do, as the characters were animated speaking Japanese.
The animations for the game would all have to be changed, and that's pretty hard to do, and expensive, for minimal return.

That's actually the main reason why they changed Dr. Robotnik's name back to his Japanese name, Dr. Eggman.
It was easier to do that than change the animation to have the characters say "Robotnik".

(Because Eggman's mouth wasn't visible in SA1, he could say whatever he wanted, which is why he could still call himself Robotnik.
But starting with SA2, his mouth was visible, so he had to call himself Eggman)

I'm pretty sure it's not lip synced properly in Japanese either though. The reason being that in Japan, lip syncing isn't considered such a huge deal while in America we consider lip syncing being off as a product being "unfinished" or "cheaply made". This is likely why lip syncing got better in modern games compared to earlier titles for any Japanese franchise.

I'd rather prioritize Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Heroes, Colors, and even Unleashed.

I honestly want 3 of those games in my Steam library.

Those games all have more redeeming qualities than Sonic '06.

Colors and Unleashed don't. At least 06 has 3 dimensions of movement.

Damn right. Personally, I'd prioritise both Shadow and Sonic 2006 as they are two of my three favourite games in the series besides the Dreamcast ones with Forces currently coming very close to join them. (I haven't beaten the game yet and I have been mostly playing on Xbox and Switch so far, which is why my PC Forces progress is next to none at time of writing)

Speaking of New Sonic (2006), any idea on the progress of the debugged PC version e.g. a new demo etc.?

I think there's three different people trying that out. One for a PC version using Unity (a terrible engine imo), and two using Xenia to play the 360 version on their PCs. Here's one of the Xenia WIPs:

Overall speeds have been tweaked, physics have been improved, animations have been improved, and they even added in graphical effects to it.

They improved the animation but still couldn't fix Sonics awkward run animation lol

You say "couldn't" as if they didn't have the ability. You do realize that they're trying to first make it more similar to the E3 build before focusing on small things like that, right? Nevermind that though, because I personally don't mind his run animation.

Edit: I find it funny your most recent posts are for a FNAF game's discussions, and then you post what you just said here. Makes it hard to take you seriously.

Sorry, it's hard to tell when 99% of Steam Community is aggressive as all hell towards me for seemingly no reason.
