Sonic Generations Remastered

There are rumors that a remaster of this game may be shown at Stay to play, what do you think about it, taking into account the fact that on PC we can easily play the vanilla version!

I just hope this is a case of it being exclusive to PlayStation and Switch consoles seeing as we can already play Generations on PC, and the 360 version is compatible on the Series X/S. But the PS4/5 cannot run PS3 games natively and the game was never released on a Nintendo console before (the 3DS version was a completely different game).

I don't see it just being console exclusive, since A. other merchants have run out of Generations keys and B. this one game isn't on sale when the ENTIRE franchise is.

I'd say if you haven't gotten the og version of generations, now might be a good time to buy before sega pulls a Sonic Origins and delists this version as soon as they announce the remaster.

Literally everyone is waiting for a Sonic Unleashed remaster and Sega instead remaster Sonic Generations, really?

I basically voiced my opinion on this but in another thread and more fleshed out, but the trimmed down version of my opinion is that this game doesn't need a remaster at all. Now I love this game (my favorite sonic game overall is a tough toss-up between this and SA1), but I just firmly believe it doesn't need a re-release with only touched up graphics and minor mechanics changes a la Sonic Colors: Ultimate. The best thing that could come out of Sonic Generation: Ultimate (or whatever they would call it) would be DLC level packs that you could purchase (imagine dlc stages for twinkle park, radical highway, or even westopolis to compliment the adventure era). But as is I'd rather efforts be put into other sonic games getting remakes/remasters or just re-releases on PC.

But if it does happen, imma be miffed if this game gets Origins'd by SEGA and is locked away forever (especially given how SG is basically *the* sonic game for modding).

Its a very Sega move to port one of the few games that 100% does not need it.

As long as its not a Colors Ultimate situation and they just port the basic game, it should be fine though.

Very not needed (especially since its a game full of references for games that are much harder to actually buy nowadays and would have needed it much more) but it could still turn out fine if its a simple port

If SEGA still insists on de-listing this version of the game for a potential remaster, the least they could do is take notes from what Moon Studios did with Ori and the Blind Forest where the original version of that game also got de-listed but comes included with all purchases of the Definitive Edition, while those that bought the original beforehand get a discount on the Definitive Edition.

This game doesn't need a remaster, it's such a weird choice to use an anneversary title for that. The only thing its need is fixing this stupid PC port, especially achievments. I have all of them EXECPT ONE which is Time Attacker and that's because this mode constantly crashes. It's been bugging me for over two years! OR GIVE ME " SONIC UNLEASHED" INSTEAD

Also I don't think that some of Sonic games not being on sale says anything. So I guess "Sonic Mania" also gets a remaster? XD
