Whats the best sonic game to buy on steam?
I miss playing sonic, and I need my sonic fix. Which is the best sonic game on steam. like content wise, gameplay wise, optimization wise, etc.

Probably Generations and Mania. Sonic Mania is not out yet on steam though.

Sonic 1,2,3 are really popular as well but they are just emulated. Sonic CD is popular as well and it not emulated (which is good).

Oh, and there is Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed which is not really a Sonic game but an excellent kart racing game.

Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 are also popular but didn't age that well. I wouldn't advise to start the series with those games.

CD is worth checking out too I think.
People are conflicted on it but for its price tag I think it's worth seeing if you'll like it not.

The Sega Classic Emulations are horrible. :Sheep: I have it.Golden Axe and some other games work fine, but not the Sonic games, very very low fps. SlowMo Sonic :conwayfacepalm:

The Game Room of the emulator is surprisingly demanding. Use the simple launcher instead or try to lower the graphics settings.

You might as well use the Roms on a different emulator altogether.

Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 if you install the Better SADX, Dreamcast Conversion and Retranslated mods. (SA2 doesn't have a DCC mod but desperately needs one)

Forces with Retranslated mod

Generations with Casino Night DLC

Mania

The classic 4 on Mega Drive, with Sonic 3 being Sonic 3 Complete

Both Sonic 4 games

Flickes Island Director's Cut, though I recommend the PC and Saturn versions over the Mega Drive original (both of which really need a Steam rerelease with their own Director's Cut mods)

I don't have Lost World yet so I don't know whether to recommend it or not.
