Besides, there is a fan working on it... probably, the last video is from late 2015.

Same here.
Can't wait for either SEGA to do one or the fan one to come out. I hope the project isn't dead.
I've spoken about my ideas for a 2006 and Shadow remake each a while ago and I can't remember where the old posts are or their names.
EDIT: I think I found at least one: http://steamcommunity.com/app/71340/discussions/0/618459931319322224/
That's just what I have been going on about in my posts regarding a remake. I also suggested including the original game as a bonus feature called Classic mode, much like that of Strife VE or Metroid Zero Mission, where it emulates the original game as an alternate campaign mode complete with its failings as if to say "this is what we were before, look at us now".
Basically the remake's "classic mode" is more of a joke. An achivement for beating Classic Mode would be "pest control" and 100% completeing it would be "Lord of the Game".
I think that's kind of the point. If you find the main forum, you'll find more of the changes he is working on.

One of the comments of the above video mentioned that which is how I know. Sorry if it embeds the video instead of the link, that's just how Steam works.
I'll transcribe it in case it gets buried like so many other youtube comments. The transcription is as follows below:

"Shaddy": I played this. It feels like 06.
Good job on recreating the game, but are we really sure we want to preserve the game's major issues in the name of tradition or record, or wouldn't it just be better to use this as a starting point for a game that works the way it's supposed to?
"AI Jerico": Shaddy Why ask for a different game if he's specifically working on a remaster of this ? If you actually look on the forums, you'll see how much more he's planning (or already working on) to do.
"Bengineer8": can you provide a link to said forums? I am new to this channel.
"AI Jerico": +Bengineer8 Look on the discussion page of the channel. There should be a link.
Otherwise, just Google "Gistix Sonic Retro".
