Problem with a DS port is that, it's a DS game... they'd have to remove all features to do with the touch screen and have to remove the bottom screen entirely, which is more effort than doing a port of the Wii version.
Unleashed Project is fantastic, but they don't offer the things people miss about Unleashed: QTE, stunning graphics that modders to this day are trying to achieve, the original score system, the crawl, etc. because those are all hard coded out of Generations.
I would love to play Unleashed on the PC, werehog and all, because I want to play it without the fps drops that my Xbox 360 gives me and I would love to see the mods that people could bring. Imagine Knuckles the Werehog, or ports of Bayonetta stages to Unleashed because why not, imagine all the tweaks Sega could do to the game that would fix the issues that people had with the game, etc.
TL;DR, just because you don't think it's worth porting the whole game of Unleashed to PC doesn't mean people should get to play it, people constantly harass Aran Webber every Sonic livestream asking when we'll get Unleashed for PC. People want it, let them have it.
