Egg Viper
It's been so long since I played this game. I remember Egg Viper being hard, but I don't remember it being impossible. Like how you can't use your homing attack on him after you've jumped on the spin thingy... You just go right through him sometimes. Anyone else have that problem?

i try to avoid hitting him more than once at a time, and if youre have trouble not getting hit at the end of the fight just stand still.

Sigh, I remember the "fun" I had taking on the Egg Viper. Lost about 9 lives before I finally got it right.
And yes, most of those lose lives were due to a missed Homing Attack. (The rest were due to my gamepad finally showing it's age, and missing a few button presses. Not the game's fault for that.)

The best I could figure was to linger in the air when jumping, to give the game a split second to "catch its breath" and get the Homing Attack to lock onto Eggman.
And to jump early when riding the spinning disk, so you're less likely to go through the boss and die.

I feel your pain, I'm about to go back in after rage quiting a while back because I had the same issue with the homing attack just refusing to work in that fight

The homing attack functions just fine, if you are button smashing you're going to have a bad time.

You ever wonder why the game has Eggman slowly charging up to attack when you are trying to climb the egg vipers body to switch platforms? The purpose of Eggman slowly charging up his attack is to trick the players into going too fast which leads them to button smashing. Button smashing means you'll mess up your homing attack which causes you to fall to your death.

Personally, I thought the egg viper was too easy. I didn't lose a single life to him.
