Achievement Bug (Tails and Big)

I saw another discussion on here talking about them not unlocking the Knuckles achievement when they should have. In this case, I wasn't able to unlock neither Tails' nor Big's achievement, despite having the game running just fine when I met them. Will reinstalling help without resetting all my save data?

Okay, well I no longer need help with this. Not sure why I didn't think of just starting a new save...
