Game Not Launching?

Bought the game recently, whenever I attempt to launch it from Steam it appears to launch, loads up a window on my sidebar for like 2 seconds, then crashes? or closes out? Either way, the game never actually opens/runs for me.

I've uninstalled then reinstalled it. Then verified the game files. Nothing else is open on my computer, but the game legit just... won't start. Any advice on how to fix it?

I think there is something in Steam that allows you to configure it that says: settings I think you have to configure the game because Sonic Generations does not open unless you click configure so, I think you have to configure it and if you clicked just open go to the files and open the options. I hope it helps you :)

I fixed my issue so maybe this will help others

1.) uninstall the game
2.) go to Program Files > Steam >steam > games to make sure all the files are deleted
3.) restarted my pc
4.) reinstall the game
5.) launch it in windowed mode and set resolution
